The People

Mr. Plastic Bag

When I look confused and lost, I look confused and lost.  I don’t hide it well.  Luckily for me there was a man today that recognized it and helped me on my way.  He was such a nice guy, probably mid 60s.  He and I walked for awhile and he explained everything I needed to know with such kindness.  I pray blessings upon him today!!

Ms Golden Girl.

I met a wonderful lady today who approached me wondering where Southwest Airlines arrivals were located.  We got into a conversation from there and she told me she was picking up a old boyfriend of hers that she had dated 50 years ago.  He was coming in from California to play a set with some old guy musician buddies of his this coming Sunday.  If I know my old people, which I do, this lady is going to have a very exciting week.  She then continued on and told me about her travels.  She and five other ladies (all divorced, widowed or in other ways single) go on trips all the time.  The last one was in Mexico and according to her was “nuts”.  I can’t even imagine how much fun that would be, like seriously, I want to vacation with that group of ladies!!!!  I told her she was a regular golden girl, and she knew exactly what I meant.  God bless the Golden Girl!!

 Mr. French Beard

In line for security this morning I encountered a group of men and women from France.  They looked so European they smelled European.  I asked one of the guys where he was from, he told me Leon, and said the group had been exploring the Twin Cities the past couple weeks and had had a wonderful time.  The people were so nice he said!  Which is good.  Cause I don't think the French like us too much...Way to go Minnesota!  Anyway, he was cute.  I'd take a blue eyed, trim bearded Frenchman any day.
